Why I'm Running: It's About Our Prosperity, Not Partisan PunishmentI’m running for US House because the people of Florida’s 17th District deserve better. We deserve a representative who understands that our economic well-being is not a partisan issue. We need a leader who will focus on our shared prosperity, not on political retribution and divisive agendas.This campaign will be about the brighter future we can build together. My focus is simple and clear:Here's why I'm running:A Stronger Economy for Everyone in FL-17: Steube and Trump's tariff taxes and trade wars from Washington are a direct tax on our local businesses and a drag on our workers. Tariffs are taxes that drive up prices for consumers and make our industries less competitive. The end result will be consumers paying more for inferior products and overall less economic activity. I will work with anyone, Democrat or Republican, to ensure that the power to levy Tariffs is given back to Congress, where this power should be according to the Constitution.Securing Our Future Social Security and Medicare: For decades, Americans have paid into Social Security and Medicare with the promise that these programs would be there when they need them. I will not stand by and watch career politicians threaten these vital lifelines. I have a plan to strengthen and reform these programs for the next generation, ensuring our seniors and retirees can live with dignity and security.Bringing Our Tourism Back: Our district’s economy depends on tourism. When Washington's politicians insult our allies and create a culture of division, tourists stay home. That hurts our small businesses, our hospitality workers, and our entire community. I will be a common-sense voice in Congress, working to restore our relationships with our allies and make Florida a welcoming place for everyone.Upholding American Values: We must never allow our government to cross lines like child separation, ignoring court orders, or undermining fundamental rights like habeas corpus. These actions go against everything America stands for.A Government That Works for You: I believe in a government that is a force for good, one that protects our National Parks, ensures FEMA is ready for hurricanes, and upholds the constitutional rights that define us as Americans.
